Lehotsky & Sons is an unlimited licensed General Contractor based in Cashiers, NC. We specialize in custom built homes, whole or partial remodels, renovations and home additions. For more than 16 years, we have dedicated ourselves to helping families like yours craft the home of your dreams on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. In fact, we take a family approach to everything we do. Ours is a tight-knit staff guided by the binding principles of honesty, integrity and quality. We treat all our clients like members of our extended family and every home as if it were our own, regardless of the size or scope of the project.
John Lehotsky, Founder & Owner
In 1993, John Lehotsky was looking for a better quality of life for his family. The New Jersey native found it here in Cashiers, NC.
Born and raised in Hackettstown, John attended Rutgers University and then served in the Army and Army Reserves for four years. He apprenticed with a builder in New Jersey for two years before heading south.
John spent thirteen years with Schmitt Building Contractors in Highlands, where he met and worked with his friend and current VP of Operations, Danny Gibson. In 2005, he decided to head out on his own and founded Lehotsky & Sons Builders, Inc.
He named his new company Lehotsky & Sons because, for John, family is the foundation for everything he does. It is the cornerstone of how he lives his life and how he runs his business. He thinks of everyone - not as employees or clients - but as members of his extended family.
John has been active in the Cashiers community, where he has served as a member of the Summit Charter School Foundation and the Rotary Club of Cashiers Valley.
John's other passion in life is golf. If he's not in the office, on a job site or spending time with his family, you'll find him on the green working on his handicap or waxing poetic on the pros and cons of this year's Ryder Cup team.
